I say yes, here's why.. Ricky Hatton has explosive power when he lands those power shots to those vulnerable areas, he fights in close but he doesn't do it like lets say Jermain did with Kelly and likewise Hatton grabs you the **** up and leans his body on you, wears you down all while landing bone crunching body blows and all kinds of other good punches but he holds you everytime it's your time to hit him, he hits and holds and that can wear down Floyd if done correctly, it's been proven that even just 1 good flush shot from Hatton will drop a ***** just ask Jose Luis Castillo he could tell you, I view him as a puncher yo his KO ratio is crazy, I think he's definitely a puncher but he doesn't rely on 1 shot to win, he doesn't throw too much at you that'll leave himself open, he hits and hold and continues that pattern in an aggressive repetitive way and lands his shots, he CAN knock you out with one punch but he will wear you down doing his rough housing then when he has oppertunities to throw he does but immediatey ties you up so you don't hit back..

my overall point is that he HAS that 1 punch KO power in him as has been demonstrated in the past but he got an in close gameplan where he is highly active in close and clinches before you can hit him, lets go before the break, hits you then wraps you up again, smart and effective but no real room for that one punch, I see Hatton going for the kill when he see's it and best believe he can get that kill within 5 punches but thats only when a chance arises, until then he strong arms his opponents, wears them down and builds on them as the fight goes on, I think Ricky is definitely a puncher but he's not the type of puncher to look for the 1 punch knockout, he isn't out to showcase his power instead just to win and the decision fights in his career reflect that.. 100

ricky hatton is no power puncher. he breaks his opponents down. he puts on a lot of pressure, throws punches, holds, leans on you. he basically does what he wants to do and holds you!!! he frustrates his opponents with that style. boxers who are mentally strong can deal with it. (louie collazo). im sure floyd can deal with it as well. hatton remindes me of john ruiz!!!

He knocked Maussa out with a single lead left hook right? That's two out of his last four wins by one punch knockout. He's more of a crafty pressure fighter though, that can use his nifty footwork to hit you at different angles.

I dont think Hatton has one punch power on a level that enables him to KO with any shot that connects flush, but he has power and is NOT a weak puncher.

If he catches Floyd right, Floyd would get KO'd...just look at his KO %, it must be well over half.

i wouldn't call a guy with 30 plus ko's in 40 fights a feather fisted puncher by any stretch.

But it's not his devastating one punch power that makes him what he is, it's his ability to beat the **** outta you consistantly.

He definatly is devatstating to the body, of that there can be no doubt.

i, unlike most of the sissy boys around here, like a fighter that gets rough and makes it a fight.

If i wanted to watch a guy pot shot and dance all night, i would go see a musical.

Floyd is a weak ***** that lacks the heart to FIGHT LIKE A MAN.

When Hatton beats him senseless, every real man in America is gonna pop the top on a beer and enjoy the **** out of the replay.

Floyd has skillz, look at how he dances, ohhh did u see that beautiful feint followed by the backing up and" dammmmmmnnnnnn" Hatton just crushed his nuts" floyds lying on his back squirming like a four year old that just got his first enima!

I'm a prophet, just wayt and see!

weak *****? lacks the heart to fight like a man? Leavander Johnson (R.I.P) was killed because he took too many punches to the head due to his reluctant decision not to go down and as a result he's not here no more, he fought bravely and like a man and got KO'ed and killed, Floyd doesn't need to take those kind of punches, no one does especially if they have the ability to fend off against them..

Floyd knows how to win off skills alone, he doesn't need to showcase his bravado all he needs is a victory, he doesn't need to experience another Castillo I type of fight ya feel me, it ain't that he has no heart it's just he doesn't think with it he thinks with his brain, his heart is his will, the **** that didn't let him drop in that now famous "Floyd ALMOST getting KO'ed" punch by Corley floating around on here..

THATS his heart, his brain is what he fights with and any smart fighter knows to do the same, fighting with your heart is what cost Vernon Forrest his reign against Mayorga in their 1st fight.. it's wreckless and it isn't boxing.. when you stick to your craft and you fight your fight your chances of winning are better, Mayweather is a very polished, determined and talented young man so he fights accordingly, he is FAR from a coward as you are trying to imply he's just a master at what he does, he makes Live HBO PPV broadcast against legit Champions look like sparring sessions, the name of the game is boxing dogz what you seek is a fight, Floyd can do that too but only HE knows when that time comes until then he continues to fight smartly and it doesn't reflect no lack of heart if reflects use of intelligence, ring generalship and things that not just anyone can do in that way, Floyd ain't no weak ***** homie I think you should re-assess your views on Floyd for a second and consider how hard it actually is execute his fight game.. 100

Excellent analysis and stole my thunder to be honest.

Hatton does not have bone jarring power in either hand but he does have certain shots in his armory that can KO in one shot - left hook to the body or head, especially.
