It just sorta hit me just now.
We already got probably the best Middleweight fight in many years from Taylor-Pavlik.
and we may get the best fight in many years, in any division, between Kessler-Calzaghe in less then a month.
Taylor-Calzaghe would have been a good fight, but it wouldnt have been a FOTY contender.
Had it been made, we would have missed out on one very memorable fight, and another one thats sure to be on ur mind for years to come.
Another thing, and this one might surprise you but its my opinion, ITS GREAT THAT MOSLEY-MAYWEATHER wasn't made!!!!!!!
Instead of having just that one great fight, we are getting MOSLEY-COTTO which is a sure Garden Classic, and HATTON-MAYWEATHER, which, however you think the fight will turn out, is a HUGE fight between AMERICAS 2nd biggest and BRITAINS biggest sellers.
Maybe this is a lesson that we shouldnt rush to the mega fight, if there are 2 fights that are obvious to come before it
