chris arreola...........swings for the fences from the opening round to the end.....recently added a decent jab to his arsenal......want to see him fight a top 10 heavy to see where he is and if he's ready for the big time.....

What Boxing needs is a global financial depression.
That would increase the amount of talent who would have to turn to Boxing to earn some Dollars!

Mike Mollo definately seems to have an exciting style, the problem is that it is very uncertain if he is good enough to be a heavyweight champion of the world.

One guy to maybe watch right now is Chris Arreola, just because of his knockout record.

Alexander Povetkin could end up being a great fighter, but he is a white European who doesn't have a nice body so unfortunately he is going to be dismissed as being garbage when he wins the title, and his winning the title will be looked upon as evidence that the heavyweight division isn't any good.

I actually have the feeling that boxing fans have nothing to fear. The next great heavyweight champion will be Odlanier Solis, and he will win the heavyweight title within the next 3 years. This guy was so phenomenal as an amateur, that he beat Cuban legend Felix Savon when Solis was only 19 years old. They still sent Savon to the olympics because he was going to go for the record of boxing gold medals, but thats how good this guy is. Right now he is a tank weighing in at 250 lbs.

          C'mon guys, be real.

Mollo, Arreaola, even Povetkin and Solis are never going to be remotely in Wlad's class.

Denis Boytsov? The top young talent, but no one can say if he'll become a real champ.

In any case, Wlad is the real deal himself, so the thread is useless whining.

            Boytsov is plagued by Injuries.
I got really excited about him until recently and he has fallen off the radar.
He has had severe back problems since being a child.
Apparently his old man used to force him to train like a demon and his young bones couldn't cope.
he didn't believe the poor kid when he said he was in pain thinking he was trying to get out of his training.
There is a clip of him on Youtube not doing to well against a sparring partner as well.
On another note I thoroughly enjoyed Mollo's destruction of "Contender not a pretender" Kevin McBride.

Check this **** out. This is his first pro fight, against a guy who was 32-7. You want power and precision, here is his 47 second knockout.

There are other clips of him up on youtube also. This guy is a killer.

Uh, I agree Wlad is an excellent heavyweight, but Solis will be in his class.

David Haye had Solis in trouble in the World Amateurs when they were about 21...
Obviously Haye has Improved a lot since and Solis has looked a little unconditioned to me.
