I like dirty tactics for survival.

But in competition it's insulting to the hard work and investment made by countless dedicated and commited professionals involved with the sport of Boxing. This is serious ****. Millions of dollars at stake, careers at stake..

LIVES at stake. When mistakes are made people can die in this ****.

It's defintaley NOT baseball. ONE fight is a season in other sports.

When you have fouls changing the course of fights; effectively altering Boxing history like Trinidad/Vargas - you can't just brush over certain REALITY.

It still PISSES ME OFF to think that Aaron Pryor was drinking PCP.. But that's another form of cheating and a different story..

if u throw some elbows and forearms here and there like mayweather it is not a big deal.

if u do something like panama lewis and luis resto did, then u deserve to be savagely beaten.

However, there is a difference between respecting Cotto and thinking he's the best like many seems to think.
He's not. Maybe he can be, but not now.
The fight with Mosley will prove my point.

Fanboys get angry when someone tells them that Cotto is pretty far from the best fighter in the world, why?

Of course, I'll make an ass of myself if Cotto humiliates Mosley now, but I'll take that in my stride if it ever comes to that

Dirty tactics is sometimes necessary to win. In my mind, it's the law of the jungle in there; If someone hits you low, elbow him, headbutt him, lift him up and throw his ass on the ground and knee him in the groin, pretending you fell over him... Whatever you face in there, you should not, not ever, let somebody step on your toes and let them get away with it.
            Rule of survival.

            Are you a fighter, or a *****?

Complain to the ref all you want, it's not gonna do help diddly squat.

I respect Tyson for doing the crazy **** against Holyfield, because it wasn't for nothing you know.
I respect Cotto for doing what needs to be done to survive the heat of the battle. Survival instincts are vital.

I know people will jump all over me for saying this ****, but that's fine.
It's only my opinion and there's not very much any of you can do about it

I'll admit biting off the ear is a little extreme, but hey... If that's what his instincts told him to do to save his face, so be it.

            I've hit people on the ground, get thrown away by the judge only to run around him and keep punching the guy who was on his knees;
I've lifted boxers and dropped them on their backs in fights, I've hit on break and after the bell and stuff like that.
Judge me all you like, I had my reasons...

            When you get headbutted three times, with purpose, you have two choices;
Be a man and do something about it if the ref doesn't...
Or be a ***** and wine about it and let it go.

Wait, there's a third option too; Kostya Tszyu.
If you don't know what that means, you don't know boxing.
            That's real ****, Tyson.

            I agree 1000%.

For me there's a very fine line but on either side I'm completely fine with whatever comes out naturally in the throes of battle. It's part of the art.

These guys are supposed to be hurting each other.

As a fan I love to see bad ****.

That's the other side of it for me. Great post.

forget the mayweather incident where he swung low then the rabbit punch

forget that he cheated agianst cotto too....forget all this stuff

cotto did wrong so there for he should be strung up on the cross for his sins

that was there attitude..and you couldnt get them to see other wise
It ain't about just that. But it depends on where you're at.

I only put $1000 on Judah. Some people put $100,000.

Tell those REAL mother****ers it ain't ****, potna.

They're the ones who ****ed with the odds in that fight.. Tell THEM.

Cotto's lucky he ain't in the river, son.

I'm for them. They do it to you, you do it back. It's not curling. It's not tea and crumpet time with the Brits.

It's boxing. A savage and brutal sport.

Am I the only one who was appalled at Hopkins using dirty tactics on Jermain while Nady turned a blind eye and screamed "You're holding Jermain! You're holding! I'm gonna take away a point from you if you dont let yourself get headbutted squarely by my man Nard!"

If this was the case Taylor shouldve put metal plates in his gloves and started hitting Nards balls a million times.

dirty tactics... too damn often turns into cuts and injuries.
If spend money on a ticket/ppv, take time of to see a fight and perhaps even travel for it, a no contest or disqualification really sucks!!
                    It's not pretty either..
