No one is ducking anyone for Pac Marquez 2

The only thing thats been stopping the fight are promoters and money.

Marquez didnt fight Pac for the rematch right after their first fight because the fight payed too low. (900k)

Pac declined the Marquez rematch after Marquez beat Barrera because at the time Arum stole Manny from GBP making the fight impossible because Marquez was under GBP.

Then when Manny had the choice to fight either Marquez or Barrera after the Solis fight, the promoters intervened and made the choice for him and chose Barrera because Barrera said that he would retire if he did'nt get Pac ASAP.

If you were a promoter and you wanted to milk as much money as you wanted from boxing fans who would you choose? If Pac beats an old Marquez both Barrera and Marquez would be over.

If you get Pac to fight Barrera (who is about to retire anyways) and you get Marquez to fight some other guy as a tune up to fire up Pac- vs Marquez 2 then you get more money.

For those of you who still dont understand if you were Bob Arum and De La Hoya your options would be

    a. get Pac to beat Marquez up and let Barrera retire.

    or

    b. Get Pac to fight Barrera; then Marquez to fight Juarez; then get Pac to fight Marquez after Marquez schools Juarez and looks good for the camera.

Any idiot would choose option b

Now so far nothing is stopping another Pac vs. Marquez fight except that Marquez wants a bigger paycheck than Pac which is very understandable considering that whoever gets the better of the negoteations will get an extra 1M after the fight (If they split the purse 60/40) 2M to 3M

Now cmon guys I know that anyone of us here in the forums would do anything even duck someone or stall a fight for 1 Million dollars.

So my point is no one is ducking anybody. Its all about money

Nice theory, but JMM fought for 3K instead of 900K, so it really is not all about the money.
