I recently sat down with Danny Wofford for a quick interview. We talked about the state of boxing, best and worst fighters, and the worst commissions. The info he shared with me, and my years of traveling to Tennessee led me to believe that the commission is inept. Researching some of the fights there, and Mr. Wofford's own statements backed up my hunch. Guys like Roy Bedwell, Frankie Hines, Jimmy Garrett, Lopez McGee all have found a home losing in the Volunteer State. Jimmy Garrett was sporting a record of 3 wins and 29 losses when the "Great State of Tennessee" hosted a fight he had against Keith McKnight, for the vacant WBF Intercontinental HW Championship. This is the same commission that let Keith McKnight fight Leonard Long, a nobody with a horrendous record.
Where are the worst commissions?
