Mora-Ayala Ends in Draw, Gomez Beats Tackie

I was watching the fights on ESPN last night and saw the fights with Gomez and Mora. I have to say, either Mora's trainers are complete idiots or he just refuses to listen in his fights. He has length and good speed but he takes that away from himself by trying to brawl every time. He has no head movement to speak of and he has no power.

I never thought much of Mora but atleast you would think he would use his physical skills to improve as a fighter and be smarter. What a waste of air time, I don't even know why they showcase him on TV.

as far as Gomez is concerned, I know he's nothing great but I really like the kid. He shows alot of heart and you can tell he works his butt off for the sport he loves. He has really improved as a fighter, especially his outside boxing skills. His jab is very nice and comes in hard and stiff. I know he fought two ex-champions that are past their prime but he is progressing very well. If anything he can be a very entertaining fighter to watch as he continues to improve.

Mora's to inactive, maybe he's scared to step up because he might get knocked straight back down, I like gomez too I think if he gets a few more big wins or big name wins hes a possible chance for a tittle shot

i dont care too much for mora as a fighter. he's more of a recognizable face for boxing, he's not gonna be a champion IMO.

i do like gomez tho and hope he fights for a world title sometime next year.

gomez vs. chavez is going to be a war....hope the jr. is ready because gomez just keeps improving.......im still going with junior on that one but gomez keeps adding more arsenal to his game so who knows....as to mora.....wtf is his problem?....maybe he was just no up to that fight since since his fight with ouma was scrapped but damn....to be a legitimate contender u must beat the lower echlon of fighters handidly and mora barely squeezed out a DRAW.....i scored it a draw but would not have been upset at all for an ayala upset.....the kid came to fight.......pavlik vs. mora would be targer practice for kelly right now but maybe it was just that mora was not as determined so well see.......

Don't know much about Mora and I missed that fight last night... This year is actually the first year I am watching The Contender.

Gomez kind of pissed me off after beating Gatti... Just so smirky. But that's probably just my sympathy for Gatti. I did catch the Gomez fight last night and he actually impressed me, especially early in the fight. He showed good fundamentals and very good body work. The latter half of the fight he didn't look as good. It seems he needs to improve his conditioning as he gassed after 6 rounds or so.

and with this fight, Mora has offically made himself the DUMBEST and most ******ed fighter in the history of the entire sport!! Just think, Mora (who is a contender star with only 19 fights and only four measely knockouts!), was offered a fight with Taylor, the middleweight champion of the world, for absolutely no reason since he didn't deserve the shot at all. He had a shot at the ring middleweight championship of the world as well as a multi million dollar career high purse (that he will never, EVER be offered again as long as he lives), AND HE TURNED IT DOWN CAUSE THE FIGHT WAS IN A VENUE HE DIDN'T LIKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW, HOLY**** THAT IS ******ED!!! Then he was being considered for the first defense of Pavlik, as long as he got by hi snext match, AND HE HOLDS A DRAW TO A NO NAME IN WHICH HE PROBALLY DESERVED THE LOSS!! HE single handely killed his career, or at least hopes of big money and title shots. Way to go Mora, your an idiot. And before people say im being a bit harsh, i love the contender series and i atcually wanted mora to win the whole thing, after gomez ws elimanted that is, since mora was poor and needed money. i liked him, but now i can't help but hate him for being so abnormally ******, seriously if anyone knows a more ****** and ******ed fighter please let me know.

Mora's stock has gone down A LOT with that draw.
