No Floyd fan has even said they will use the Dancing show as an excuse, so I don't know why we keep going over it! Even if Floyd loses I don't think he will ***** about it but he'll want a rematch. If Floyd was beaten and he bitches I will lose alot of respect for him but he won't use DAncing as an excuse as it was his choice to do it! He's still training hard for boxing aswell as dancing so I don't see the problem with the dancing, its getting him more exposure and has the chance to bring in new fans to boxing!!
To the Floyd fans

Fair enoughI will not allow Floyd , or any of his fans, to use the DWTS excuse. He has been questioned about the wisdom of taking that on. Mosley, Duran, Tszyu, Holyfield, Hatton, Delahoya and many, many other boxers/trainers have said they would NOT do that. So, AT MINIMUM, it should have caused Floyd to rethink that.
You can't get advice, and then act like you didn't know. So, no excuses.
If PBF loses to Hatton, then it diminishes him in my eyes. For me, he is teetering between "era great" and "all-time great". Any good win moves him to the latter. Any loss slides him back to the former. Or maybe even further.

I don't think anyone would use the dancing for an excuse unless they are a diehard nuthugger. I am a Floyd fan but I also like Hatton quite a bit. If he beats floyd then yes he gets more respect than I already have for him. I think both fighters have A LOT to lose in this fight which makes all the better.
Neither fighter can really afford this loss and I think they will both want to win convincingly.
I can't wait until Dec. 8th.Comment

I don't see a reason to use any excuse. I'll put it to you like this, Mayweather has said the dancing will help him in the long run. He said for both fame and the way he trains. Helps keep him on his toes, he said. So, you can't take that, and then IF he loses, turn it around and use it as an excuse. He loses, if it's fair, then he just got beat. Fair and square.Comment

If Floyd looses its because Ricky was too good on the night , no excuses ,, I respect Hatton for rugged fighter he is and if he beat Floyd he is better than what I thought he was and I wont mind admitting I was wrong , I feel much the same as Dios in that I think Floyd is really special and has the ability to be an GOAT , if he gets beaten he will definatly not be the level I thought he was .Comment

nice to see some honest opinions on here for a change. I know their is also a lot of British fans that don't even respect floyd which is crazy but if floyd does what is expected and out box and out skill hatton then surely every boxing fan, fighter in the world must applaud floyd and say he is the best in the world, maybe EVER.Comment

Of course I'd like Floyd to win, but if he loses I think it would affect him more than me. As far as respecting Hatton, I mean, he is 43-0 isn't he? Doesn't that already warrant respect (regardless of the competition)? A win over Floyd would make him one of the best in the sport in my eyes, though anytime I ponder such an outcome I must clarify that I'm 99.99% sure that he's not going to win..Lets say Hatton does beat Floyd. I want your honest answer. Would you give Hatton respect for winning, or would you say its only because floyd participated on DWTS that he won? Give me your honest answer. And please dont send "I'm not gonna worry about that because he won't lose" replies. I'm not hating on floyd I just want some of you guys honest answer if this were to happen.Last edited by sonofisis; 10-16-2007, 05:23 PM.Comment
