    Having second thoughts about Cotto/Mosley?

At first I thought this would be an easy victory for Cotto and I edged him to win based on youth, power and hunger. That was in no way a knock against the skill level of Shane Mosley because he's one of the current fighters that I respect the most.

But as the fight draws closer, I'm wondering if my initial prediction for a late Cotto KO/TKO was just a knee jerk reaction due to various circumstances or not.

Cotto has yet to face any serious opposition, despite what his nuthuggers may tell you. His biggest victories were over Torres, Quintana, and Judah. All 3 guys are B class on their best day. So I'm wondering if he really has what it takes, or if he's just another byproduct of the Puerto Rican hype machine that built up another B class guy in Trinidad years ago?

The similarities between Cotto and Trinidad are there. Both are fighters who gained enormous popularity before facing any legit threats, both are guys who built their reputations on their punching power, and obviously both are undefeated Puerto Rican Champions. (As trinidad was back in the day when I questioned his standing)

I hate to beat a dead horse but Cotto is known to have a suspect chin. He's been down on the mat before by guys who don't hit as hard or fast as a guy like Mosley does. And if you take away the amount of times he's ben knocked down, he's been rocked a lot as well by the likes of Demarcus Corley.

Anyway, the point of this thread is to ask this question....Is anybody else having any kind of second thoughts about the outcome of Cotto/Mosley that you had originally predicted? Be it for either fighter?

Judah is borderline Great on his best day, he never has a good day cuz his trainer is a worthless ****scab and He has no focus and does the bare minimum while training.

all i know is the only reason i think this may be a 60/40 match up is because of shanes age....miguel would have 0 chance against prime shane mosley....

shane has the style to do to cotto what e did to vargas in the second fight...but after some 3 cometeitve rounds similar to those of vargas-mosley 1

I was leaning towards Mosley at first, but now I'm less nervous about this fight than the Judah one for some reason. I'm just confident Cotto will do his thing, and prove the doubters wrong yet again.

And Bringer since Malignaggi has won his last 22 rounds convincingly, I'd say he's a better win than Torres was, although Torres has proven to be above average.

I have a feeling that although at the moment this is a pick um fight, when they finally get in the ring its going to be pretty onesided, but which way i don't know lol

But anyway, Mosley wins by Ko. Mosley is just as quick and has more power than Judah. Mosley has much better stamina and much more focus. This should be an easy fight for Mosley, the sad thing is when Cotto get's KTFO, most of his PR nutmunchers are gonna leave him just like Tito.

Well it will seperate the true fans from the bandwagon nuthuggers at least. The world is not going to end if Cotto loses. Shane is a good fighter.

The biggest drawback in picking Shane is that his old age is going to show up eventually, but will it be November 10th? Does he have one classic performance left in him? Does DCotto have the heart and chin to stand infront of Mosley and take his bet shots?

This is about as even a fight gets IMO and the only reason Cotto is a betting favorite is, as said, Shane's age.

And Antonio, I forgot about Mailignaggi. So yeah, replace Torres with him. I always forget about that "growing up gotti" lookalike.

Ofcourse you don't like Cotto. How can he not be one of your favorites. The man is just straight up entertaining.

This isn't no easy fight for Mosley. This is one of his hardest fights at the point of his career right now. He even knows it. Young and hungry monster ready to take a head off. I expect a great fight. Cotto to win and have Mosley quit in round 10 or 11. Everyone will be shocked..

wow trinidad a b class fighter mm didn't know that i guess wiping out 147 and having titles at 147,154,160 fighting the best is a b class thing.

and the only thing im saying its just going to be a great fight.
