Totowa, NJ – Undefeated WBC #2 middleweight contender Giovanni Lorenzo has informed his promoter Main Events that he would like to challenge recently installed WBC #1 challenger Jermain Taylor, it was announced by Main Events CEO Kathy Duva. In its latest rankings the WBC dropped Lorenzo to #2 and installed Taylor in the #1 spot.

It's probably because he's Dominican. I haven't seen any footage of him in action but having looked at the guys he fought on boxrec Jermain should beat him.
