Butes a good domestic fighter. Berrio is a great domestic fighter. Im tipping Berrio on points. Then im tipping him to lose to Mundine in december. And im tipping Kessler to beat Calzaghe.

I just feel Bute is a limited fighter. His defence is non existent and his style although entertaining, is attack attack attack and no defence. He won't be able to counter Berrio tonight. Its on tonight right?

Bute's speed and difficult style should win him this fight, no doubt in my mind, its Bute with the biggest talent.
Berrio will be very dangerous as long as he stands up. Berrio is smart, and has a quite awesome ko punch.

It isn't on any major US network is it? A mistake if you ask me. With the contender going on, Kessler/Calzaghe, Pavlik/Taylor maybe moving up + people start talking about Allan Green, and an Andrade being fun to watch on the under card, they could ad another ingredient to the smw pot by showing a fight like this.

I think Bute should win this, but has Berrio been improving? I ask because I saw on boxrec that Stieglitz TKO'd Berrio in the 11th round in Dec '05. Then Berrio came back and TKO'd Stieglitz in March '07 in the 3rd round (though 2 judges had Berrio losing the first 2 rounds).

I watched the fight. Stieglitz had him dominated until he got knocked out, he wasn't just loosing the rounds.
Got to give Berrio credit, he learned what he needed to do from the first fight. (+ that KO of Mack was so damm sweet!! )

The winner of this fight is smw#3 for sure! The IBF belt will gain some credibility since Calzaghe gave it up..

Berrio does have a nasty KO%. But his chin is almost as bad as his KO% is good. All 4 of his losses from KO.
