I like Katsidis- don't get me wrong because I do- but I was never impressed with him the same way I have been with Juan Diaz. I think Baby Bull has shown us more with how he broke apart Freitas and, through accumulation, made Julio quit, too. Katsidis has been in wars with lesser known boxers which is great for us fans; but should these guys be able to make it a war? I'm not saying Katsidis can't remain champ or have a great career but, at this point, I'm going to have to say Diaz handles him with effective pressure and better all around skills- though it would be a good fight to see if Manny isn't interested in Juan.

i get what you're saying njord.. most of the time you'd think.. ok yeah he can punch that wont be enough.. but he's hospitalised his last two opponents.. i dont think anyone can blow him away.. i think it would be a war.. maybe with katsidis wearing more leather but landing some serious punches keeping it very interesting. might be an interesting one to score too

The Baby Bull seems more solid in terms of withstanding damage from outward appearance. He'll also be dishing out more than Katsidis has ever had to contend with. Much more.
Katsidis has never been down other than a flash KD he absorbed and got right back up against Graham Earl in a FOTY candidate where he was unloading bombs and just got caught.

I'd love to see this fight more than any other at 135. Katsidis' power and never say die mentality would clash violently with Juan's likewise unforgiving approach. This fight would be dynamite, a true blood and guts fan's dream come true lol.

Juan said in an interview he wants an all out brawl where his true potential will come out. Katsidis will definitely make it a brawl and I think he can bring it out of Juan. MAKE THE FIGHT HAPPEN.

katsidis would be totally outgunned in this one, juan's proven to be on another level as well as have an affinity for delivering HUGE in big fights. this would go on as long as katsidis' heart held up for - that or if the ref intervenes.

most importantly, however, i'm basing my prediction more so on the fact that one guy is white, obviously.

forget Pacquiao, let him fight his guys at 130. forget old man Casamayor, he isnt rated by the other belts.

listen to this yall. Katsidis is the mandatory and Juan is gonna be stripped of the WBO belt if he doesnt fight him next...and thats a FOTY fight if there ever was one...

in the meantime, let Casamayor fight David Diaz, since he is the highest rated by the WBC belt and is going to be fighting the guy that David won his belt from, even though he was getting beaten fairly one-sidedly most the fight...Santa Cruz

then the winner of Diaz-Katsidis can fight the winner of Casamayor-cruz(casamayor). then we have a COMPLETE 4 BELT LIGHTWEIGHT CHAMPION!!
              which would be great.

I like Katsidis alot he has recently become one of my favs!!! Juan is the fighter and i like him also!!! Katsidis has good power in both hands which is always a bonus but i still cant see him having the defence to win such a fight!!! Juan will try to out box him which is what i think will happen!!!

We gave Katsidis a standing ovation at Wembley for that performance.
