The fight was much closer IMO than what the cards read, Sure Evander lost but he wasnt dominated he didnt look the way he did against Toney Byrd or Donald, he did get off some good shots, he did block alot of shots that Sultan got credit for landing.
He was hurt by a good body shot in the later rounds but Holyfield for his part was the agressor and everytime he landed on Sultan he snaped his head back, Sultans shots didnt do as much to Holyfield maybe two or three times but over all the fight I saw was a boxing match, more of a chess game.
I think Holyfield would have done much better if Sultan was not a lefty and had he not fought in Moscow this is the first time to my knowledge that Holyfield fought outside of the US I could be wrong, but for sure this is the first time he fought for a title out side of the states, I am sure that was a new issue he has had some difficulty dealing with.
but at the end of it all I think he should retire as does anybody with two cents in their brain, but he wont so hopefully the commissions will continue to keep him suspended from fighting so we dont have to witness something tragic happen to the man, he has been too good to this sport.

I say give Evander another shot.........against WLAD KLITSCHKO

Wlad just got through with his mandatory and can make a optional title defense. He could cash in against Holyfield. Holyfield would finally get knocked out and can't say that he was competitive afterwards to keep fighting.

However that might not be enough so I say the stipulation in the contract (wwe style) should be that if Evander losses he has to retire for good.

Evander needs to retire,,and retire NOW. He's going the way of Joe Louis...an all time great that can't get the last fight out and ends up a fairly tragic figure. (Louis did it for money. What the hell is Evander doing it for? It certainly isn't money.) It needs to stop.

I know what you mean. If he keeps fighting and gets seriously hurt,it's going to be hard to feel sorry for the guy.

Its kinda bizarre watching a man destroy himself.
