    Some Real Juan Diaz Thoughts!

Something I never hear anyone talk about is Diaz in the P4P rankings. He's had some quality wins now and I think he deserves to be there or right on the threshold.

However, Diaz is flawed. Im reading all these threads about everyone being scared of him and he would kill everyone but I think he could be beat. Im not hating either because Im a huge Diaz fan and I use to think he would wreck a ton of guys too but now Im starting to change. I use to think that he would kill Pac and I still kind of do but I could see Pac beating him because his style is just set up for him to get KO.

People were sweating him last night but did you see how many flush shots Julio hit him with? Thats why Julio stayed in there because he knew he would take punishment but he could land all day in the process. Did you see Juan's face at the end of the fight and he even admitted that Julio stung him a couple of times. Even Frietas was tagging him. I know you guys will say that Frietas has power but he's not the same Freitas that use to KO everyone. He doesnt commit to his shots like that since the Casamayor fight and he was a weight class up. I see 2 threads on here about Pac & Nate. Im telling you right now that if those 2 guys hit him that flush that many times then they can knock him out. Also, dont forget that he doesnt have mad power so those guys could take some shots to deliver them.

Dont get me wrong though, Diaz is a man-child and thats why I say that I would consider putting him in the P4P list. I cant remember the last time I seen anyone like him who could do the things he does. How he can fight non stop at full speed for 12 rounds and never get tired. Still, this kid has KO written all over him. You cant keep coming straight at power guys with a suspect D and taking shots to give them. I think Chico wouldve Knocked him the **** out like that

Pacquiao punches at 135 are no where as good as 130

DLT, do you ever make a thread that isn't negative? Mayweather is the only fighter I've seen where you aren't being negative. Diaz can take a punch just fine. Just because Julio roughed his face up doesn't mean Juan was close to being knocked out.

Thats not fair. Why cant I say things like this? I just said that he may be a P4P guy. You know how hard it is to get into my P4p list. My problem is that it seems that when anyone fights now there are a million threads on here calling him GOD and you know thats true. Have you seen some of the crazy threads on here. I just see some flaws in these guys that other people dont want to see. Juan got tagged alot and I dont think he runs through everyone out there. My main thing is defense. I like guys who bring the D and I think they will always stand the test of time like Floyd, Hopkins, Toney, Winky, and so on. So many guys come with no D and they start fast and then they start losing like clock work because it will always eventually catch up to you when you fight an elite guy or a complete fighter.

Diaz has showed a WORLD CLASS chin and a good DEFENSE.

When he's thinking offense he is very hittable, it's true, but when he's done with a combination and takes a step back, hits very difficult to hit him flush anywhere.

But the problem is, when he is thinking offense and is hittable. he is so in ur face and throwing 8,9 or 10 punch combinations, your not going to be able to get leverage into ur shots.

So Pacquiao could hit him, but he'd be going backwards AND a whole weight division higher, where his power would be just as effective as DIAZ's!!!

I think you could very well be right and thats why I thought Diaz would kill him but it also may not be true. Remember, Pac is not the normal guy when it comes to size. If this was EM, JMM, or MAB moving up then I would say you are right but did you see how big Pac was? The guy looks like a damn Jr. WW right now, so I do think its possible that he could still have some good steam at 135. Also, even if he doesnt hit as hard it would probally still be good enough to hurt a cat if your hitting him flush on the chin and he is a lefty which Diaz has never seen at a high level. I wouldnt be surprised if Pac could shock him but I also wouldnt be surprised if Diaz wrecked him. Campbell though could do some damage even if he isnt a real elite figher. I think Diaz style would give Campbell the chance to do damage

After a good win there will always be a hundred threads on so and so against so and so. I've learned to deal with it. In three weeks time, most people will have a completely different opinion.

Another thing I love about Juan that I havent seen anyone do in many years is that he will actually throw a big time combo in the middle of your combo. You never see anyone do that and thats what shocked Julio last night. Julio would be throwing a 4 punch combo but once he got to punch #2, then Juan would unload a 6 punch combo. Nowdays everyone waits for the guy to stop throwing his combos before they comeback. They just try to cover up and then come back. Juan doesnt do that. He throws back right in the middle of your combo which you have no D up and he snaps your neck. That **** was crazy. You never see that anymore.

Somemore props I will give to Juan is that I thought Julio was actually a beast last night. I like Julio and I think he wouldve beat 95% of the guys in boxing last night the way he fought but he was just in with a monster

Diaz face was even more bruised up after the Freitas fight, but the result was the same. Basically he just breaks the will of his opponents and makes them quit. I agree he takes good flush shots at times, but with his style thats bound to happen. He actually keeps his hands up pretty good and blocks shots, but he's in front of you the whole time so eventually he's going to get hit. He's exciting to watch and it doesn't seem he could be in a boring fight.
