Arturo Gatti had said that he would die before Floyd beats him. When told about that statement, Floyd said : "Once I start getting in that ass, he is going to WISH he was dead".

          Mr. Hicks,

Here are some quotes from that OTHER Hatton, Arturo Gatti. Tell me if he didn't say the same things as the NEW Hatton is saying...

Gatti says the fight will come down to toughness…a quality he has proven over and over. But does Mayweather have any? “Talent wise, Mayweather is one of the most talented fighters, but I’ve been in with some really good fighters and most of them are tougher than Mayweather. He has ability, but who knows how tough he is? I’ve been in tough fights that I was able to come out of a winner.” Team Gatti maintain they’re going to pull a big surprise on fight night.

As to be expected, he had a lot to say about Mayweather's trash-talking. "For what I've done in boxing and how I've done it he should have a little more respect," reasoned Gatti (39-6, 30 KO's). "I'm going to sell the tickets. They give tickets away when Mayweather fights..."

Said Gatti in response, "I'm gonna take him somewhere he's never been. He thinks I'm a joke. I just want to punish him. I really want to hurt him.

"I would like to make this fight 12 rounds and beat the living [stuff] out of him. He deserves a good spanking. He's a little boy."

We've heard it all before, Ricky... crying about not getting respect from Floyd..... saying that you are too "tough" for Floyd.... calling him a little boy....how Floyd has no fans....predicting the upset..... YAAAWWWWN

WE'VE HEARD IT ALL BEFORE. SAME GUY. SAME RESULT.

making up bull? I think so

Hatton is the obvious underdog ... but here's where if your a Hatton fan .. your tricking yourself

"But the burden is on the shoulders of Floyd Mayweather."

really how? Mayweather doesn't have the hopes and dreams of an entire country on his back

*okay obviously not ALL of the Manchester/UK fans follow boxing

but look how many are flying out to see Ricky Hatton in this fight. automatically that will put pressure on Ricky

you all keep saying Hatton "fights for his fans" .. he wouldn't want to let down (im not even gonna guess at the # of people who are coming over) .. but you get the point I make .. Hatton fights for his fans + lots of fans coming to see you fight = pressure for Ricky to impress the fans

the above isn't a fight changing factor ... its probably more of a mental thing and almost impossible to gauge (unless of course your telopatic)

Floyd its not about fighting for Little Joey .. or what ever. Mayweather prioritises winning. even if its in a not fan impressive matter (vs Baldomir) the whole ****in crowd could be booing .. it doesn't effect Floyd in that aspect. (he may cry about it post fight .. but during fight he sticks to his game plan)

"Hatton is free of expectation for the most part. "

so if Hatton had his worst fight of his career .. came out too slow .. and got picked off with counter right hands the entire night and lost a clear cut UD that would be okay in your book because

                    "Hatton is free of expectation"

this is his biggest fight ever. win lose or draw .. how he fights (living up to his expectations or not) will be a pretty signifigant factor.

Hatton is complimenting Mayweather for the most part and being real diplomatic. His fans will still love him after this.
