Here's Another Delusional Heavyweight That Should Retire!!

    Early Results from Chicago!

    Saturday, October 13 2007

    By Jacob Chavez at ringside

Former two-time WBA heavyweight champion John "The Quiet Man" Ruiz (41-7-1, 28 KOs) stopped Otis Tisdale (26-18-1, 15 KOs) at :45 of round two. "I felt a little rusty tonight and butterflies because it's been a while," said Ruiz. "This guy tonight helped me get out the cobwebs. I wanted Liakhovich but I guess he didn't want to fight. I hope my performance tonight jumps me over Liakhovich in the rankings. I'd like to fight Valuev in an elimination bout and then go on to face Chagaev. That's my plan. I want to win a third heavyweight title."

John Ruiz needs to go back into retirement and stay there forever. I rarely look forward to seeing a fighter get knocked out but he is the exception.

That's an horrible thing to say man. Respect all fighters, even dirty fighters deserve some respect for getting up in the ring. However i can't bring myself to respect Cotto :S

Say all u can about Ruiz but the guy has beaten a lot of credible fighters and has never ran from anyone, most people say he beat Valuev and was robbed. When Ruiz was champion he wanted to make unification fights but nobody else wanted to. I hate how the guy fights and cant stand him but he has never ducked anyone
