Shaun George to face Eric Harding

A little rumour that I had heard through the g****vine. Glen Johnson's promoters had accepted Shaun George as an opponent, but Glen Johnson refused the fight.

So are you saying that Glen Johnson wants a bigger name opponent instead of easy money against a scrub. If so, good one Glen. I've admired him for a long time. Consistently brings it.

        LMAO!!!!

Glen Johnson is going to fight 41 year old Reggie Johnson instead. Johnson hasn't fought since 2005 and before that was inactive for three years. Glen Johnson is overrated and ready to be taken. At this point in his career, he doesn't want a real fight.

Damn. I thought you meant he rejected it to fight a bigger name.

          Reggie Johnson??

          That's just bad.

Glen Johnson is ready to be taken. He's slipped considerably in recent years, which is why he's been fighting guys like Montell Griffin and Freddy Moore. The second he steps up against a young guy, he's going to get exposed bad. He has so many flaws and doesn't have nearly the gas tank he used to. Shaun George would own him.

I've been present to see Shaun George and Eric Harding spar, those guys really don't like each other. They were about to take off the gloves and brawl after a session and people flooded the ring pulling them apart. I can't wait for this fight.

Glen is getting up there in years. Every world-class fighter (and yes I did consider Glen world class at one time) fights older guys. No one wants to fight the young lion because 9 times out of 10 they have more in the tank then you.

                And re Harding:
I always liked him. Real skilled southpaw. Im real suprised his career didn't take off.

I'm just saying, I like Glen Johnson but he's at the end of the rope. I wanted to set the record str8 about the Shaun George-Glen Johnson situation. People were saying Shaun George had no business being in the ring with Glen Johnson, but Glen Johnson turned down the fight and forced Warrior's to cancel an entire card. Johnson isn't a real fighter anymore, he's looking for cashout fights. He ducked an opponent that Warrior's Boxing had approved.

I just heard that Glen Johnson was supposed to make 250,000 for the Shuan George fight on PPV. Damn, that's a lot of money to walk away from for an off-tv fight with Reggie Johnson.
