Actually, I do not begrudge the airing of Heavyweight fights anywhere. I am even glad that these are aired free in PI. What I expressed surprise over was the sense of priorities of those who make decisions on which fights to broadcast. I would have thought that given the possibility of Pacquiao-Diaz (either Juan or Julio), it would have been a no brainer.

From what I see, buddy, I can't see how that can work well for ABS. Pacquiao is Pacquiao in the Philippines and nobody comes close. Holyfield is surely not the way to go to beat a Pacquiao in the ratings.

ABS appears to me like taking a Hail Mary swing. I doubt that it would land.

They would have had a better chance had they built up fights of Pacquiao's prospective opponents. They'll be indirectly using the Pacquiao name had they done that.

Not pretty clever, those high paid guys are, are they?

As for you guys taking over... Why don't you give it a serious thought? You cannot possibly do worse, buddy! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!
I agree. Pac's previous fights were shown by ABS. The second and the third morales fights, the larios fight and the solis fight. Some how, ABS didn't want to pay more for the TV rights of the pac-mab rematch, which is owned by MP promotion, so GMA immediately grabbed the opportunity. maybe it's GMA move to show other big boxing fights that concern pac's future opponents while ABS show other big fights like the one they will showing tomorrow, that way pinoy boxing fans will be very happy. BTW, manny will have a reality TV show at GMA this coming november.

Ah, ok. But, just the same, I don't think it's a pretty smart move by ABS-CBN, pal. I won't be surprised if GMA gets to have huge ratings featuring Pacquiao's future opponents.

I am surprised why GMA missed Diaz vs. Diaz... They should have picked it up.

Anyway...Pacquiao hosting a reality show? He's a recording artist too, isn't he? The fella is going in every direction! Good for him! As long as it does not affect his fighting...

I think Juan's earliest fights were in the jr. welterweight-welterweight classes?

I can't wait for this fight tonight!!!!

Juan by late round TKO, I don't think Julio can take the brutal pace that Juan will set!!
