    Juan Diaz: All Alone

Key man and trainer Ronnie Shields will not be with Juan Diaz this Saturday. Shields opted to travel with Holyfield for his match with Ibragimov. Will this effect Diaz's performance

Really dislike trainers that do this - go with the big money guy.
And they go on about fighters showing loyalty.

Hope Diaz comes through OK, as he seems like a good guy & very focused, but you sometimes you take away a support leg & the whole thing crashes.

Anyone know who's in his place?

thats dissapointing. and Julio has excellent boxing ability, Juan could really use a good trainer with good advice in this fight. this is an extremely hard fight that Juan could easily lose...

Well, he has to go with one of the guys.. its not possible to say what his motivation was. Maybe he feels a genuine assimily with what Holy is doing, and he may feel as though Holy is the one who needs him the most. Maybe he is confident that Diaz will get on fine with out him. Just possibilities, as I'm in no possition to say.

What was discracefull and di****able was when DLHA compelled Roach to work exclusively with him.. and a bunch of his fighters went on to lose during this time. More of a disgrace on the part of Oscar.. its hard to fault a guy for snatching that kind of cash.. every man does have his price. But at the same time, it was a bit ****ty on both their parts.

Yeah, i dont like to see this either. Just saying, he does have to go with one of them.. this thread could just as easily be "Holy going to Russia alone.. head trainer will be stateside working for Diaz."
