I'm not a big Mayweather fan, and I'm definitely rooting for Hatton in their fight. However I'm one of few who does not let my personal opinion of feelings get in the way of the facts. I highly respect Mayweather for his natural abilities and his dedication to the sport, therefore I will never disrespect him unless clearly joking.

As for your question, probably not. Some will say "yes I'd respect him more" but if it happened and Floyd won, they'd just twist it into hate. If Cotto wins and Mayweather beats him, Cotto was unproven or overrated. If Mosley wins and Mayweather beats him, Floyd waited until he was past his prime to fight him. See what I mean?

floyds the type of fighter that if come in swinging that will be your weakness he'll block you and tire you down over the rounds, ricky is not known for his amazing stamina thats why i know floyd will win and theres alot more

I want him to face, either Cotto if he wins or Paul Williams. Mosly & De La are washed up & Margarito doesn't deserve that shot.

If history has taught me anything in boxing it's that the greats are hated in their era. Only after they retire are they finally given respect and credit for what they accomplished. Back when Ali was on top he did evrything Floyd does with the trash talking to the media, and disrespecting of opponets. People despised Ali back in the day for how he carried himself. I think that now you'll find that Ali's place is pretty well cemented, as will be Floyd's 10 years from now.

I think floyd might retire after ricky, I hope not but if he does decide too fight on i'm quite sure he will fight the winner cotto or mosely after that i dont think theres much hope of him fighting again, hes had trouble with his hands back when he was a light weight...... even before he fought castillo

His hand problems have been pretty well documented. Of course the haters will completely deny any knowledge of it and say it was just an excuse so he didn't have to fight (insert random fighter here).
