  • How much does Pacquiao weigh naturally, I mean just walking around, semi-good shape weight? I honestly wouldnt be surprised if he weighs MORE than Mayweather. seriously, if fighters gain 14 pounds overnight, they most certainly weigh more than that when they havent cut weight at all.

but this is a dumb matchup. no one would want to see Pacquiao get destroyed. and Floyd would get no credit for his win if it were to take place at 147 anyway. now, if Pacquiao moved to 135 and Floyd moved back down to 135, which could be possible for Mayweather, it would be quite a statement.

but Pacquiao has tons of fights at 130 and 135. Mayweather needs to fight the winner of Cotto-Mosley after Hatton. take care of these first before you even joke about Pacquiao vs. Floyd

but for yall that say that Pacquiao started at 106 makes him the smaller man, thats a bunch of crap. what weight you start at means nothing. Pacquiao was so weight drained there its not even funny, and he was incredibly young.

As you know, Mayweather almost never cracks 152. Pac was 144 completely rippedup.

My guess is that Pac is the heavier man between fights. Prolly 155-ish.

      • It's not insane to press for this fight, but it's also premature.

Let's say Pac fights three times at 135 and cleans up there. Then a Mayweather superfight would be the obvious choice.

People point out that Pac weighed 144, and fairly. but he made the weight for the fight. Mayweather cannot make 130 right now.

Pac also looked like Marc Anthony's asian cousin at the weigh-in.

Floyd wouldn't do that to himself. He would rather just move up to a reasonable weight. Wouldn't you?

          • I can't believe you guys are seriously discussing a PacMan vs PBF fight!!! If Floyd doesn't get props for fighting guys bigger than him, then why would he get props for fighting someone significally smaller than him? Don't say that they both are the same size or Pac's in his prime & they can fight at a catch weight b/c it is not realistic. Pacman started his career at 106 & has filled out to a light-weight, but I've been saying this since day one, Juan Diaz or Katdisz (a tough brawler) will be the end of Manny Pacquiao if he really wants to move up to 135lbs!! I'ma huge Floyd fan (no nut-hugger) but he would defintely "lose a lot of points/respect" if he decided to fight the Pacster over the elite comp he has in the 147lb division. So to say Manny is scared of Floyd is like saying Floyd is scared of Pavlik....absolute Bull-****!! This thread should have been over!!!!

Pac has has his heart set on fighting at 130-135 and coming into his fights at Welterweight. It makes his job much easier, well, that and picking on 63 year olds.

Manny "started" his career at 106....WHEN HE WAS FRIKKIN SIXTEEN YEARS OLD. What do you think PBF weighed when he was sixteen? I'll tell you: he won the national Golden Gloves in 1993 (um, age 16) at 106 pounds. SO STOP WITH THE "MANNY PACQUIAO STARTED AT 106 POUNDS" BULL****.
Like many asian and mexican fighters, the early pro career essentially seved as Pac's amateur career.

                Age 16: Pac 106, Floyd 106

                Age 21: Pac 122, Floyd 130

                Age 25: Pac 126, Floyd 135

                Today: Pac 130, Floyd 147/154

Note: in 1996, Zahir Raheem was on the US Olympic team at 119. He was nineteen years old. Floyd was also nineteen years old and was the US rep at 125 lbs.

                • Dios, I knew you were going to do that!!!!! You could go thru all the facts & quotes that you please but ask yourself a question what fight is important to Floyd's legacy; the winner of the cotto/mosley fight at 147lbs (17lbs north of pbf debut weight) or Pac-man at 135/140 (moving back down in weight to fight a smaller, somewhat 1 dimensional fighter)? Yes i know Floyd is only a natural 140lbs at this point & manny looked like a damn 140 pounder last saturday, but who the F*** wants to see Pac-man vs Mayweather!! Floyd would get "ripped to shreads" for picking on that lil guy!!

Look at it like this Floyd just came off the highest grossing ppv fight ever with De La Hoya at 154lbs!! & now you guys are talking about him fighting Manny Pacquaio at whatever weight (135-140lb)! Please, that is pure non-sense, just more ammo for the Floyd haters/detractors that say he doesn't fight top-notch oppostion & just looking for the easy payday! Like PBF says the fight would be "EZ Work", moving back down in weight to slaughter someone who is really no threat to him! Anybody that thinks Pacquiao can beat Floyd is obviously sick & needs immediate medical help!! End of thread....

Who the **** are you to declare my thread dead? Get the **** out of here with that nonsense.

Mayweather>Pac and Pac knows it. That's why he's draining himself physically so be can continue to beat up on 130lbers.

                      1) Anytime someone says "end of thread" and the thread doesn't ACTUALLY end, it is severe self-pwnage. Avoid that.

                      2) If you say that it is unfair for Floyd to pick on the little guy (same size) in Pac, then it really tells you how big the gulf is between the #1 and #2 p4p guys. Why did nobody say it was "unfair" for Oscar to fight a guy so much smaller? You guys want to see Floyd slug, but you don't want him to fight guys his size.

                      3) If you are addressing the issue of Floyd's legacy and how a Pac fight would enhance or erode it, then I embrace your point. Completely.
