    Duddy planning a Belfast warm-up

Derry middleweight John Duddy is to fight at the King's Hall for the first time in what could be a final warm-up for a shot at the WBC crown next March.
Duddy is also due to face Uruguayan Noe Tulio Gonzalez Alcoba at the National Stadium in Dublin on 20 October.
But the planned fight in Belfast on 8 December will a big one for Duddy.
"It will be great for John to get boxing in the King's Hall. I'm sure the public are eager to see him," said his manager Eddie McLoughlin.
Duddy has a planned challenge against the unbeaten Kelly 'The Ghost' Pavlik for the WBC World middleweight title at Madison Square Garden in March.
"I hope all goes well at the National Stadium in Dublin in two weeks time," said McLoughlin. "The King's Hall date is going to be a very big fight for him. There's a lot of talk about a world title shot in 2008 and that has always been our plan, but a lot has to happen in between then."

      It hasn't.

Every fight up until a boxers first World title fight would be a warm up.

I can tell you will back him up fully when he faces Pavlik. Wager maybe?

Man, we get behind our own fighters, and that's great. But you have to draw a line at some point. This is Kelly Pavlik. A completley different league to Duddy.

I hope this fight doesnt happen. Its pointless. Pavlik gains no respect for beating Duddy, and Duddy gets a vicious defeat.

No-one truly wins, including the fans.
