Nigel Benn and Chris Eubank are two vastly different people

Benn says Calzaghe would have beaten him, Eubank, Watson, Collins and so on. That's not Eubank

Agreed. Both men were unfortunate in situations with an era not very ripe for competition. That doesn't discredit Calzaghe's reign and it doesn't discredit Hopkins' either. Too many critics.

Nobody is saying Joe is not a good fighter ,, his fans are not saying he is a good fighter they are saying he is an all time great ,,, big difference ! and thats the only thing Im putting into perspective ,,, the guy that says Cals resume is like BHops ,,,, crazy ,,,,, Cal is been in mothballs keeping a winning record , the fights have been on the table and he hasnt taken them , he has all the good reasons , but here we go again , where is this fight and who chased who !

Yeah I will have all my pts on Kessler if you want ( to the guy that asked )

how do you know what fight's Joe has or has'nt turned down unless you were were his agent or Kessler's you dont no any thing more than what ever spin the media put on a story and that is what you are basing your opinion 's on ,some people believe what they wanna and id suggest you are 1 of those people

it seems to me you get more respect moving up divisions identifying weaker the champions in those divisions and beating them

Your right we dont know what happened over those entire 10 yrs ,, so I can only go on what we do know and that is Joe has not fought any big names overseas , or any big in prime names ever , every big name proven fighter was one step from retiring ,,, so what are you to believe that Joe is the one willing to fight anybody anywhere , look where we are fighting again this time , but you might be right and its just a coincidence for over 10 yrs ,, maybe Hatton is just lucky he got big fights in the states straight up , maybe Kessler went Aus to defend against Mundine to get an aussie suntan , maybe Ottke was unlucky just like Joe in getting the real big risk fights for all them years also .

" Whenever a genuine threat is put in front of me I raise my game - Eubank, Sheika, Veit, Brewer, Mitchell, Lacy. We all saw the results. "

Brewer was TKOed by a middle right before Cal fought him , retired not long after Cal and stopped his last 2 .

Mitchell , was beaten by Ottke right before Cal , and he was beaten by Siacca right before that , Cal was Mitchells retiring fight .

Eubanks was out of retirement , commentators of the fight was saying Eubanks should not be fighting and was a shadow of his best , Eubanks said himself he took the fight on short notice and he could beat Joe if he had more time , also said he dont punch hard .
It just goes on and on right through his career ,,,,, JCal is a very good fighter but he is not this PFP monster people think he is ,, the bottom line is he has been fed contender status fighters his whole career ,,, Kessler is really the best in his prime fighter Joe has met .
Not sure where you got your info from mate but that was Eubanks 3rd fight inside of 12 months (he won the first two by KO).

Eubanks, Benn and even Steve Collins have gone on record and stated that if JC had of operated in their era then he probably would of been the best of the bunch.

it should 'nt make a difference where you fight if Joe want's to stay at home so what these so called better fighter's can come too him after all he happens to be recognised as the best fighter in the division and has enough cash ,not many people apart from you would argue he has 'nt been the best SMW of the last 10 years and fought the best SMW out there that it is undisputed fact cut and dry which ever way you wanna put it its a fact so he cant have that much to prove now can he

so by your estimation RodBarker Kessler deserves more respect ,makes sense yeah beyer,Mundine ,Andrade LOL ,and Joe does'nt for dominating the SMW division ,name a SMW he has'nt fought that people clamoured for him to fight
at the end of the day Joe has done his job cleaned out his division and is recognised as the best fighter in it ,

i know i coming across as Calzaghe nuthugger but there's one contributing factor for this that i dont think some people want Joe to be recognised as great fighter i thought he had silenced all the doubter's after the Lacy fight especially whe you consider he had been champion for how many years and Lacy was a the favourite to win the fight ,because Joe beats Lacy up badly people claim he was overated etc ,this is what im talking about i heard the same thing's about Vivian Harris was gonna whip on Junior Witter and tha Kostya Tzyu was gonna whip Hatton ,guess what none of that happend infact quite the oposite most of those fighters ended up shipping a lot of punishment in those fights

Lennox Lewis is perfect example undisputed Heavyweight Champion does 'nt even get into a top fifty Heavyweight' list int he US yet yet Holyfield does ,the Heavyweight division is pants at the moment aparently just happens to be dominated by european fighters all this is not a coincidence the facts are there these fighter should be shown more respect but the opinion's of people in the US contradict those facts

why is the real reason Lacy is overated cause he got beaten by Joe or because he did'nt beat Joe there is definetly an agenda regarding European Fighters not by all the US fans cause there are some very unbiased American Posters on here ,maybe it is there US media who knows

Strange that because Collins (as much of a clown as he is) has also gone on record quite a few times in saying Calzaghe wouldn't have lasted in his era
