My point exactly. Fighters are still human beings and are ever bit as susceptible to losing control of their anger as you or I.

floyld aint no bad ass until he is in prison. i mean the guy wants to portray that image so badly he will deliberately do some small crime to get inside and show the world he is gangster. ye ey ye hehehe ye ye you're a gangster man.

mike tyson was bad and scary. he was a name. people liked him because he could ko. the general public wants the excitement that someone can ko another. the general public doesn't like pure boxers that's why floyld aint so famous. i mean i'm sure gatti is more famous than floyld and gatti aint even special. he's just had some wars.

you need someone who can brawl, ko and box aswell. prince naz was a character, mike was and mayorga too. their antics made the news. rahman lewis was funny aswell lol.

Out of the two options I would say we need another Tyson. That guy had the whole world interested in boxing when he was at the top of his game.

Do you honestly believe Mayweather would throw away making $20 million a fight just to prove to somebody he's "gangsta"? We all know he's not gangsta, he's hip hop. There's a difference.

the general public wants the excitement that someone can ko another. the general public doesn't like pure boxers that's why floyld aint so famous. i mean i'm sure gatti is more famous than floyld and gatti aint even special. he's just had some wars.
If the general public doesn't like pure boxers why was Oscar De La Hoya so popular? It sure as hell had nothing to do with his bone-crushing KO power. As for Gatti, I doubt it. Anybody who knows who Gatti is knows who Mayweather is by circumstance, Mayweather is the man that beat Gatti within an inch of his life in the most one sided fights of the last 20 years.

you need someone who can brawl, ko and box aswell. prince naz was a character, mike was and mayorga too. their antics made the news. rahman lewis was funny aswell lol.
Naz was a character, an overrated and overhyped one. He stepped up his competition against Barrera and got treated like fresh ass at Riker's Island. Then he retired because he couldn't handle a loss, real Champion that dude was. Tyson was a wife beating lunatic who lost all control once Cus D'Amato died, but I forgot how much the public adores women beating rapists.

Mayorga I can agre on but the public doesn't know who he is. Most people know him as "that boxer who smokes cigarettes", or "the fighter who wrote bad checks for some cars".

He's not even that. He's a wanna be. Wanna be dancer, wanna be gangster, wanna be hip hop, wanna be ATG boxer. In the end he fails at them all.

I think you're letting your hatred for Mayweather blindly cover his accomplishments. I am neither a Mayweather fan nor a Mayweather hater, the same way I'm neither a Pacquiao fan nor a Pacquiao hater. When I see somebody hating on a fighter a little too much, I intervene on that fighter's behalf. Regardless of if I like him or not.

Say what you will about Mayweather but at the end of the day he's still got the balls to get in the ring and fight somebody for 12 rounds. Something most forum members seem to lack.

(Not to mention he's an undefeated Champion of 5 different weight divisions with some standout victories.)

Boxing needs NEW BLOOD in each division.
                Especially the Heavyweights.
Exciting young prospects to clear out their respective divisions.
We also need to see the Top 10 in each weight class fighting each other regularly rather than them picking up pay cheques against lower level fighters.
For starters why the hell should the winner of Mcbride Vs Golota deserve a title shot?
Mcbride is useless and was smashed around by Mollo and Golota was a prospect in the 90's.
Watching those 2 fight I had to make sure I didn't have the controls on slow motion.
This kind of thing does not keep fans interested and certainly doesn't attract new ones.
Pavlik V Taylor was a breath of fresh air and we have a few more match-ups like Mayweather v Hatton and Kessler V Calzaghe coming up.
These are the kind of fights we should be used to seeing.
Every other sport you get to see the best v the best.
It's time Boxing fell back in line and gave the fans the quality they deserve.
The main reason UFC has gained popularity is because they regularly pair off the best in each weight class against each other and REGULARLY.
                I live in hope.
