I can't even find a boxing gym here. I looked everywhere when I first moved here but all I can train for here is Karate.

I should've just trained myself but I never thought it would work out. I know a lot about the sport from watching but there's a limit to what you can learn on your own with anything. I learned that with playing guitar and learning to draw.

20 years old. I am pretty quite on the trigger too, so I think I could jab my way to victory against ****ty opponents, I'm just worried about someone who can walk through my punches, because then I'm ****ed.

You'll always have that problem. Speed vs. power is the most classic battle in all of boxing. But if you're serious about it I'd goto a gym if I were you and try it out. I'm eventually going to get a speedbag and heavy bag to practice on. I'm not going to turn pro because I think it's a little late for that, and I have no amateur experience. But it'll still be both a great workout, and a way for me to get even closer to the sport.

While were on topic I just went to measured my arm length which is 26 1/2 in and I'm 6ft. I go to the gym quite alot but it's mostly cardio but i do weights once a week. I reckon i'm a fair build but i'm quite skinny on account that i play badminton. My weight is 128. I think that i would be at super featherweight. I have done a fair bit of boxing and i think I have fast hands with a bit of power but I have only ever done it for defense and fitness. Would I have a significant advantage over others in my weight class?

I've got a heavy bag... and I practice 1-2's on it all the time.

Funny that Floyd is my favorite fighter, because I share one thing in common with him... and it's not his skill or his speed. It's injury-prone hands. I have a severe anger problem, so I have excercised my fists on things a lot less soft than a punching bag back in the day.

Same. Many a walls and cabinets have had holes punched in them from me. The pinky knuckle on my right hand has been broken a lot, it's kina abnormal now in terms of size. Slightly bigger than the middle finger knuckle.
