Mosley: "I Know I Can Knock Him Out"

Shane Mosley believes Miguel Cotto's one-dimensional style will play into his hands when they meet for the WBA welterweight title at Madison Square Garden on November 10. Cotto is undefeated heading into this eagerly-awaited showdown, but Mosley believes he'll adapt on the night to burst his opponent's bubble.

"I believe Cotto is going to come straight forward right at me and that's exactly what I'm looking for. I know that he is not a KO artist with one punch, but I also know that I can knock him out.

"I'm the type of fighter that knows how to deal with any situation and for this fight I'm going to bring everything, whatever is necessary to win."
Shane Mosley, New York City, September 2007

He definitely can. It just depends on how well cotto's chin is.

Mosley is full of ****. Yes I know Mosley can KO Cotto no doubt about that. But Mosley doesn't adapt and make changes in the ring and he never has. Mosley hasn't shown improvement in I don't know how many years. Mosley used to be a boxer-puncher now he is more puncher-boxer. When Cotto lands big Mosley is going to try and come right back with a big shot which gets him in trouble because he usually gets over aggressive when he does that. Cotto never reacts that way when he gets hit with a big shot. He understands you don't have fire right back with a big shot just make your big shot count when the oppourtunity presents itself. I think Mosley is going to lose he is not the same fighter he used to be.

Shane can get too emotional in a fight...

with that said, I don't think he'd be able to adjust to Cotto's consistant oncoming pressure...

Exactly, Mosley has never been the smartest guy in the ring. He has won with talent, heart and ability which is great but mentally when things ain't going right he has not been the smartest in the ring to make adjustments.
