Ok lets be honest he will not go down as the greates ever, he will not go down as been better than the great sugar ray... but he will go down as one of the greats, i'm a fan a big fan and I'm not been biased when I say he could be greater than he is if he fights on against good competition but for the mean time i'd have too say he'd be in the top 20 of all time. does that sound fair where would you have ??

I'm waiting to see what transpires over the next 18 months with Floyd then I'll make a comment. If the DLH fight wasn't so close, it would be a lot easier to say yes.

ODH fight was close on the live scorecards but in reality it was Floyd in cruise control , its only with slow mo and instant replay you see just how easy he did win that fight .

Where Floyd finishes we dont know untill the ride is over he could end up anything yet .

Floyd right now is in the same position De La Hoya was at his first loss. He is already a hall of famer. If he beats Hatton and racks up a few other big names then he could eventually be the greatest of all time. Sugar Ray or Ali, never had the defensive skills that Floyd posesses. Sure they had a little more in attack but he has to be in that group. If he beats big names for another 5 years, then undoubtedly he will be the greatest ever.

Sugar Ray and Ali were great. But you have to acknowledge the fact that a fighter can always be greater and Floyd has that chance.

I agree with what your saying. I remember saying the same thing about Oscar along time ago now.

Hell NO! You're acting like a biased nuthugger when you say that man. Losing to Castillo or old DLH automatically puts you outside the top one hundred, with the average resume Floyd has had.

Floyd has had an outstanding career. Ray Robinson lost to Randy Turpin in his prime so you are way off base.

Having said that it is premature to describe Floyd as an all time great based on his career so far. A few years ago people were saying the same thing about Roy Jones Junior but he string of knockout losses followed by some lacklustre wins over mediocre opposition and irreparably damaged his legacy. To date no-one really has Roid in their top ten all time.

Floyd is on track to be recognised in such a manner but it ain't over til the fat lady sings.
