Lampley mentioned the bettings on the KO round for Pac/MAB fight.

This got me thinking....did MAB place a bet on himself that he wouldn't get knocked out? Barrera seemed to try his luck in the 5th round and although did well, lost that round and suddenly he was on his running shoes. It's like he conceded that he would just survive and get his retirement money (hence, my theory that he placed a huge bet that he wouldn't get KO'd).

I normally don't make fantasy assumptions here. It's not my style but Lampley got me thinking that there were heavy bettings on which round MAB would be KO'd in. Lot of losers in Las Vegas that night, I'm very sure betters lost plenty of money ....except for one: Marco Antonio Barrera.

He may have lost the battle....but he beat the house!

His money bag has plenty of cash from my fellow Pinoys. BTW, I lost $50 that MAB would be KO'd in the 11th.

"I'm very happy I did not get knocked out by Pacquiao" comment? Makes you wonder.

You got it! And he was all happy and ****. I was like wtf? I thought he was just happy cause he pulled a Roy Jones, but now that you brought up Lampley's comment it makes me wonder. Also why would Lampley bring up the betting on the ko when Barrera was fighting to survive? Was he trying to point out what you're saying in a more subliminal way.

        Great observation on your part!

There is noly reason you are happy to just not get knocked out. MONEY, he must of made a huge bet not to get ko'd.

In boxing, you can legally bet on a fight that you're involved in.

Yep. Even Hopkins publicly announced he bet $100,000 that he would beat Trinidad.
