  • Why is Andrew Golota still around??

When so many people have left from his generation.

You have fighters like Zeljko Mavrovic, who only lost
one time, and yet you never hear from them again.

Golota has lost multiple times, and yet we're still being
    subjected to him?

Even worse, he's disgraced himself on more than one
occassion, yet still we have more Golota!

    WHY??

For the same reason we still have Holyfield, McCline, Roy Jones, Trinidad, David Tua, and others

Tua can still knock people out. But not the ones in the top 5. Tua will always be a gatekeeper and no more.

I don't know. Guys love to fight, there's good money in it, and people will watch a recognizable name. Golota may not have the record of Joe Louis, but those Bowe wars guaranteed he could get paid to fight for as long as he wants. And it doesn't matter when he loses, he's a sideshow even on the canvas.

Also some fighters just don't know how to do anything else hence they stay around to pay their bills.

Fighters like Golota and Holyfield will always get fights because even way after their best their name looks good on an up and coming fighters record.

Gatti is a good example, Alfonso Gomez will always have that win on his resume even though we all know the truth.

There are way worse fighters still out there fighting. Golota is 40-6 with 33 KO's. Like it or not there are many heavyweights out there that will never have that kind of record. You just never see them because they dont get TV time. Not to mention the heavyweight division is lacking right now and even with Golota's losses and history he still has a chance to be a lot of the heavyweights out there.

Boxing is what Golota does for a living. Hes obviously not rich. He has a wife and kids I believe. Yes he does have some problems, but he is a nice guy. Hes just not metally stable. Why not let the guy make money doing what he does so he can make a better life for his family and let it be instead of cutting him down and trying to make him look like a bum? If you dont like him, dont watch his fights.
