Lots of options for Pacquiao right now. Marquez would be good. The winner of Humberto Soto - Juan Guzman. Edwin Valero. Rocky Juarez.
Those all seem pretty good. In terms of pure excitement though, imagine this: Pacquiao versus Jorge Barrios.
That would be a sick free swinging brawl between two world class fighters. I enjoy a good technical boxing match, don't get me wrong, but for all out action, you can't do better than matching those two guys up. Barrios fought well enough in his losses to Freitas and Guzman to still put him up there with the top guys. Does he deserve #1 contender status?... no. But he is still a top 5 guy and what the hell is wrong with rewarding a guy for his heart and excitement?
I think it could be like a lightweight version of Hagler-Hearns, because as great a fight it would be, it couldn't possibly last too long.
