Barrera's best shot
The most damaging shot that Barrera got off was a wicked hook that caught Manny flush on the cheek at the 11th round. However it was a foul shot that wasn't accidental.
It was a deliberate and desperate attempt by Barrera to slow Manny down a bit, and delivered as they were parted by Referee Weeks from a clinch. That was just one of the dirty tricks up Barrera's sleeve and it worked, despite the point deduction. He survived to stay on up to 12 rounds with a loss no doubt, but without the much dreaded KO.
For that, my respect for MAB went a few notches down. He later announced that he was happy that Pacquiao didn't knock him out. Apparently for him, losing to Manny as long as it's not by KO is already something to be proud of.
Quite pathetic for a great boxer of his stature.
