Yeah, he was good. I've been watching some of his fights on youtube and man the guy can punch. Very intertaining fights. His boxing career gets over shadowed by the Hearns ko.

True, but now that sombody upped some fights of his on youtube, people can see for themselves if they chose too, just how good he was.

I used to have a boxing trainer that used to speak highly of Cuevas.

He would say that, Cuevas was not a fancy fighter just a come forward brutal force and power. And that he winged those punch with tremendous force and he was right. I don't think he's forgotten from those who watched him in his prime.

in the second fight he has huge trouble with guys that move.... it's kinda sad the guy was doing ok then there was aabout 4 low blows threwout the first round to stop his movement..... that's kinda cheap....... no wonder he got koed by the hitman they prolly has a ref that would call that ****.

Fighter: "Coach he's hitting me low."

Coach: "Then hit him back low and stop complaining."

Im sure thats why Judah lost to Cotto right?

Cuevas was known for having one of the hardest punches ever at welter, he would break bones! Great music by the way on the first video, first war then the doors. Good stuff.
