    ..Opinions And Facts...

A lot of people seem to forget that what they're saying is an opinion. Not something factual, for the most part, but an opinion. Mostly, things you read on this forum or things such as, "He's an overrated fighter ... He lacks this ... He couldn't beat .... He'll never do ... I don't like" All of those, generally speaking, lead into opinions. Yet they're touted as Biblical, at times. It's crazy.

People need to realize, Floyd can be a great fighter, at the same time that Hatton can be. SHOCKING, I know. You may think De La Hoya was robbed against Trinidad, but if someone sees it the other way, they might not be a TriniNAD-hugger. They just might like a different style of fighter. They might like aggresive boxing, more than a stylistic boxing/borefest. Arguments can go either way, and unless you're completely blind about an issue, you could be making, atleast, a fair argument.

If I stick up for Vargas (I wouldn't..) I might not be a guy stuck on El Feroz' ****. I just might happen to see how things line up, differently than you do. If I think that Mayorga should fight Mayweather instead of Mosley if he goes back to welterweight, I'm not wrong. I'm just seeing it differently than you do.

Another thing. People should stop defending these fighters as if the fighters give a damn about them. SOme of you seem like you'd actually throw blows at one another if ever given the opportunity. I know this is a hormone-driven website, seeing as it's a boxing website, but for guys who pride themselves on manly-ness, it's pretty.. STRANGE to defend another GUY as RABIDLY as SOME of you do. Stick up for fact? Yes. State your personal opinion? Completely. Wish the other person/fighter death because he's going against your lover/favorite fighter? ....Not soooo much.. Nothing against gay dudes, I'm just saying.

    That's all.

Good post... I honestly can't think of a way to solve the fact/opinion part. Most things are written as opinions, however, the fact that they are written in the way they are make them look like they are written as facts.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. is a coward.

That is obviously an opinion, but it looks like a fact. How to solve this? I can't think of anyway other than putting IMO after every post, which would be ****ing lame.

I wish people would stop being so damn sensitive about everything, and on the flip side, I wish others would stop trying to flame people into getting pissed off.

I am guilty about both things (being sensitive and flaming) on occasion, but I try not to for the most part. I feel like most of the times when I do it, I am just firing a shot back.

Everyone should try to keep their posts objective, first and foremost, and try to keep them civil as well.

I tend to brace a lot of my posts with "IMO" or "Personally." It sucks, but sometimes it seems needed. Liek you said, people need to stop flaming on the matters, and people need a bit thicker of a skin on certain things. Overall, people should be clear on when it's a FACT they are posting, not when it's an opinion. Opinions, are all over the forums. Too many to label everytime. It's the FACTS that are few and far between. So it'd be easier to label the facts, to me.
