Wiley? You are the biggest advocate that this fight not being made is solely the fault of Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Do you have anything to back it up with? If not, I'm going to sticky this.

Hatton retired Tsyzu to a life of dancing on Australian TV. Well maybe one more series before the crippling brain damage from Hatton's paralysing onslaught really kicks in.

Considering I only have interviews from Mayweather himself, a post-fight interview from Kostya Tszyu would suffice for him wanting to fight Mayweather. Did he ever mention it?

It seems clear to me that his agenda at 140 was twofold:

1. He wanted to move up in status by making a good appearance on his first PPV fight. He achieved this through his Arturo Gatti.
2. He wanted to fight Kostya Tszyu (why else would he say something about that fight when he was still in the 130 division?).

In my opinion, the reason this didn't come about was because by the time Gatti told his handlers to shut the **** up and just let him fight Floyd, Ricky Hatton has shocked a lot of people by knocking Kostya out.

There are always going to be back and forth arguments about why Mayweather didn't fight Hatton... who ducked who, etc., so please, don't focus on that for this thread, make a new one if you want to have a flame war about that. Leave this thread for Mayweather-Tszyu.

Mayweather was avoiding Tszyu. Roger knew it was a bad style matchup and it would be hell for Ricky. They would of rathered just beat the piss out of Gatti and make 4 mill.

And I remembered reading an article after Tszyu - Mitchell that PBF wanted to wait till Tszyu get's older. He said those exact words. I'll try to dig it up.
