Giovanni Lorenzo rated 19th in supermiddleweight (UNDEFEATED)
Sechew Powell rated 15th in light middleweight (1 LOSS)
John Duddy rated 12th in middleweight (UNDEFEATED)
Pawel Wolak rated 60th in middleweight (UNDEFEATED)
None of these boxers have KO/TKOed Patrick Thompson. It's a great opportunity for Vanes Martirosyan to test his power and his skills with this type of opponent.
So stop with the ignorant comments. He is a "prospect" not a champion. He is fighting his way to the top. And this takes time. It doesn't happen over night. If you want to post, post either positive comments or if you want to post negative comments at least be logical about it.
fighting contenders and losing them doesn't mean anything. having 4 ko's is also very weak. you're putting him in with a guy who doesn't ko.
out of his 9 loses you bring me 4 names.
congratulations on the win and coming out fairly in good health. but to say it would test him is wrong.
at 16 fights it should be 8 rounders. and he should be fighting guys who are contenders very soon. maybe from his 20th atleast.

...anyhow, I promise you bigger better things are in store for 2008.i guess it is good to keep a fighter undeated, but then sometimes it backfires when he goes against world championship fighters and loses and can't recover. sometimes a lost at low level gives time to learn and then become better.
good luck to him anyway
