Well, it would certainly tarnish his legacy. Of course it would,.

But he will always be remebered as a man of great skill, regardless of what happens in December.

He will die a legend no matter what. (even though he is a tool)

I think it would, mainly because this is the first time he is truly stepping up his quality of opponent. He's fought legends, but not during their time, only when they were on their way out. Even this fight plays to floyd, in that they are fighting a weight class above what ricky usually fights. if floyd loses (which i dont imagine will happen) i dont think anyone would be incorrect in saying he was exposed.

And to they guy who said taylor was exposed or overrated... get yourself some education. both guys fought an exciting, tough fight and i think pavlik/taylor could end up being a historical trilogy. ****, pull a srr/ lamotta and make it 6 or 7 fights. i would watch every single one of them.

The person on top of a particular struggle will always face more problems if they lose. If hatton loses there's waves of excuses and a general consensus that he probably wont win anyways. So if he wins; then Floyd gets the **** storm rained down upon him because he's stupposed to win. It's the same with any competition.

Why don't you think Hatton can KO Mayweather ?
Give me a reason which is viable.
I don't care that Oscar couldn't do it.
              Oscar is irrelevant.
Please explain coherently and fully why Hatton would be unable to KO floyd.
If you think Hatton doesn't have power then you would be mistaken as well.

If he loses and gives it his all, he'll get more respect than he's ever had.

                It just works that way.

If HAtton makes him quit it might, but if Floyd just loses it shouldn't. It's just one great fighter losing to another one.

Of course there will be mayhem on this forum. I can't wait for all of the ridiculous threads if it indeed happens.

im a huge floyd fan but floyd is so big and so popular because he's undefeated, seems unbeatable and is p4p number 1 in the world. if you take that away, you take everything away because alot of people dont find him exciting enough to watch, they just watch him get beat. like i said, im a huge floyd fan but no he cant afford to lose.
