Australian heavyweight Kali "Checkmate" Meehan (32-3 26 KOs) has taken the vacant slot to face DaVarryl "Touch of Sleep" Williamson (24-4, 20 KOs) in New York's Madison Square Garden on October 6. Williamson was left without a dance partner after original opponent Jameel McCline accepted an on offer to fight WBC interim-heavyweight champion Samuel Peter in the main event.
