    Who should Berto fight next?

I dont think he is ready to fight any of the top welterweights just yet. I think he need 2 or 3 more fights against class B fighters. So I think he shoud fight the winner of the Mathysse/Lujan fight next.

Zab Judah... He beat a gatekeeper in Estrada. Mathysse/Lujan would do nothing for him accept give him a few rounds at this point. I think he can beat Judah. Judah is a credible name in the division. After Judah, take on a Margarito or Clottey and see whats what...

Alfonso Gomez would be a decent cash fight and keep his buzz going - but Gomez could derail his train. Worst case.

Anyways, I'd be way up for that one.

He should fight Kermit the Frog. He'd beat him.

Yes, that sounds about right. Would be a nice exciting fight.

He probably is ready for Judah, but I would wait 1 or 2 more fights before him.

I wouldnt think about Cintron right now. Berto could beat him, but one punch from Kermit could set back his career. Kermit is not that big a name to take that risk.

Andre Berto is very good but right now, I think Cintron would stomp his face.

I agree. Berto should stay away from Cintron.

There was talk about Cintron vs. Paul Williams and a rumor going around that Williams wants nothing to do with Cintron.

Manny Steward said Cintron could end Williams with one punch.

Paul Williams is generally regarded as the most avoided fighter in boxing. No one is in a rush to meet “The Punisher.”

No one, that is, except Kermit Cintron.

The IBF welterweight belt-holder called out Williams Wednesday during a conference call to promote his Sept. 8 defense against Jesse Feliciano in Los Angeles. Williams holds the WBO belt.

“I’d fight Paul Williams any day,” Cintron said. “Everybody keeps saying I’m avoiding Paul Williams. I’m not avoiding Paul Williams. Paul Williams is avoiding me.

“I think his promoter (Dan Goossen) is avoiding me, as well. I think it would be a perfect match for me and a win for me
              .”

Yeah, I guess the risk:reward ratio for a Cintron fight doesn't add up, and perhaps it is early, but i stand by my prediction that Berto could beat him.. Williams-Cintron would be a good fight I think.

Alfonzo Gomez would be a great fight for Berto as well as boxing fans. Gomez is a tough customer and would be very game for this fight. However, the Berto I saw on Sat night would be too fast and powerful for Alfonzo and would stop him mid rounds like he did with Estrada. Good fight for Berto, bad one for Gomez....
