Gatti and Taylor, similar, yet different

They both drop their left hand in their style, keep it low, waiving it side to side. Yet Taylor has been able to achieve better results than Gatti. Why is that? Perhaps, guys at lower weight classes are quicker, so they get to Gatti easier than heavier guys moving slow enough for Taylor to not get punished for it? Of course the 2 are in different leagues, yet they have a similar stance.

I'll never understand why Gatti tries to fight like Pernell Whitaker, and Sweat Pea was trying to convince him he could do it. Watching him slip and dodge Gomez' punches that one stretch of the fight was the most random thing ever. Gatti should NEVER be fighting with his hands down.
