I agree with you...but I don't think he can do it after the wars he has been through, he is past his prime and I don't think his body can take another war, especially with a hard hitter like Pacquiao.

Barrera looks like an old fighter. It reminds me of how Castillo looked the week before the Hatton fight. Even sporting the same red collared shirt. I'm worried.

Yeah the countdown on HBO was pretty cool.

First fight - He looked worse than ever.
Second fight - He's so ****ing old!

Whatever, I think it's bull****, and I don't think Pacquiao is any more than a small favorite.
1.He did win 2 times with Morales.
              2.old?? marquez is older.

stamina is gonna be the main issue barrera looked bad against marquez and juarez because of it and if barrera ever struggles pac will finish him no doubt
still barrera is very smart and if he took the fight i think hes got some kind of chance

they are just looking for ways to make an excuse. if pac wins and beats marquez next year they are going to say that he is old again. then if pac beats soto, valero, or guzman they will say that those guys are bums. after that they will try to make pacquiao fight diaz and if pac beats him they will say that he is slower than pacquiao that's why pac won. ****ing excuses

Yeah you're absolutely right but the fact is that if any of those people were to beat Pac then his legacy would be tarnished. He needs to stop fighting these "old" guys and start fighting the supposedly great new fighters and either expose them or really see what he's made of. Fighting these guys has no benefits for Pacquiao other than the claim that he's beaten Mexican greats past their prime. I think the way they're handling his career is pretty dumb. What better way to make Pac the lb4lb best fighter in the world than putting him in there with the best current fighters in the division. I think if he loses it'll be very unfair to him because this is a fight he doesn't need to take. JMM maybe by a long shot, but this fight is absolutely unnecessary for Pac, and for his legacy.

well the thing is he doesnt want to finish those mexican boxers in his division right away. simply because if he beat all of them who is he gonna fight next? none of them would be left. it wouldnt be that interesting anymore. before he wants to get rematch right away with marquez but marquez avoided him too much. no one was there to step up to pacquiao. but now that he is very famous suddenly names like valero suddenly pops up and now marquez says that he wants to fight pacquiao. all those mexican boxers in his division are just **** riding on pacquiao's fame so that they would have a good pay day and exposure. from the moment valero challenges pacquiao suddenly he was famous. marquez got famous because he got in with a draw with pac. and yes barrera made pac famous, he made pac famous for having his ass kicked big time. if it wasnt for pacquiao, morales wouldnt had that great trilogy. now who else? who else in his division would match with him? soto and guzman? soto is just a sparring partner for erik morales what can he do to pacquiao? guzman he was unheard of before but he was known now because his manager challenges pacquiao. now tell me who's next?? none!! and i am very sure that if he defeat those 2 u people will call them bums. just like what u did to morales. he was one of ur greats but when his ass was handed to him in only 3 rounds u call him bum or that he wasnt a true mexican. simply put because there is no one in his division that we can level up to pacquiao. well if pac loses then superfeather weight division is dead because no one will be able to replace the excitement that he shows. it will be like the heavy weight division today. it died eversince tyson lost his mind.
