    Pacquiao-Barrera officials named!
    By Dennis Principe
The Nevada State Athletic Commission released the names of ring officials of the upcoming 12-round super featherweight non-title bout between Manny Pacquiao of the Philippines and Marco Antonio Barrera of Mexico. An all-American line-up of officials was announced with Tony Weeks named as referee while the judges would be Tom Schreck, Jerry Roth and Glenn Trowbridge. Pacquiao's trainer Freddie Roach a few days ago created a stir as he expressed his concern should the NSAC name Joe Cortez as the third man in the ring. Roach was quoted as saying that Cortez "favors Hispanic fighters" and that he would prefer to see other well-known referees like Kenny Bayless and Vic Drakulich get the job instead. Pacquiao is the current World Boxing Council (WBC) International super featherweight champion but that belt will not be at stake in his battle with Barrera.

This is getting ridiculous now, we posted this yesterday evening. People have even been messaging that this is being done intentionally

Tony Weeks is, IMHO, the best ref out there. Arthur Mercante Sr. and Jr. and Raul Caiz Sr. and Jr. round out the top 5. Vic Drakulich is also a very good ref.

Kenny Bayless, however, is almost as bad as Richard Steele and Jay Nady. I'm kind of indifferent to Joe Cortez and Smoger, tho.

Good choice for a ref. Is it just me or does it seem like when they show the pictures of all the judges they all look like shady ass people that can be bought? I don't know why but they always look super shady in the pictures when they introduce them.
