Joe beating Lacy might be considered the equivalent to Pavlik beating Miranda, both considered one dimensional power punchers.

Other than that Joe hasn't beaten anybody, that's why the HBO spots for his upcoming fight have him saying something like, "You've probably never heard of me" or "You might not know who I am", that's what happens when you beat up on nobodys for years and years, nobody knows who you are.

I easily put Pavlik over Joe at this point, pending Joe's next fight....

What if Joe totally demolishes Kessler?

Nor should he after one championship fight. He did well, but let him defend it four or five times first, then put him on.

Come on guys... Calzaghe beat Lacy, Reid, Eubank... not exactly the worst bunch of scrubs I have ever heard of. I think those wins (collectively, not individually) outweight the Taylor win.

Also, are you all saying that Pavlik or Taylor is more impressive than Hatton or Tszyu? P4P rankings beg to differ. Tszyu was like #3 or something, Taylor: unranked.

Pavlik might be justified in being ranked ahead of Rafael Marquez, considering he just lost to Israel Vazquez.

If you base the rankings on skill there's no reasonable way to put Calzaghe below third.

Then I would love to see him fight Pavlik, Hopkins, Winky... I think Calzaghe is an awsome fighter, I just need to see him againts someone who would validate him..Miranda didn't validate Pavlik but Taylor did in my book....

Maybe 4 behind Mayweather, Hopkins and Wright. Their styles are so money for them... but Joe C is definately a beast.
