    I agree the fight is overated however, Pavlik/Taylor does not op it.

      i think people have seen it so many times they are sick of it especially when you can watch it so many times in a given day over and over since its only three, rounds, overrated? hell no, overwatched, probabley. But fights last 5 rounds of less, it cant be beat.

          This was the best fight for the true middleweight title since McCallum-Toney and the best big middle fight generally since McClellan-Jackson and neither of those got FOTY either, both losing to the little guys. Same thing this year. In the old days, it might have won because significance to the sport was a bigger factor.

            liles-littles 2, rosario-ramirez 2, foreman-lyle, and moorer-cooper all were 5 rounds or less and better than hagler-hearns.

              because hagler-hearns is overrated.

              it is held on a pedestal it doesn't deserve. at least, not over the numerous other fights that are as good or better than it.

                i thought taylor-pavlik was the best mw title fight since 1994 with castro-jackson 1.

                  Hagler/Hearns is not overrated it was one of the most excting fights that i have ever watch below 5 rounds. Pavlik/Taylor does not top it.
