I thought Peter was gonna beat toney both fights, because Toney WAS old and fat. Some people are underrating him, but some others are making him out to be the next big thing. Which I think until he significantly proves himself he is not. Even if he beats McCline, I wanna see him against a young hungry fighter.

      Agreed, same.

Really my point is........he's being critiqued too much. Everyone picks apart the fact he has limited if not marginal boxing ability. When exactly was it he was supposed to be Chris Byrd in there? Because he's not that type of fighter. He comes forward, and exchanges punches trying to knock his opponent out.

When he has an off night against sub par opposition..........people keep pointing to that and creating more negative scenarios. For instance him accruing two fights against Shufford and Pudar where he went the distance.

It's just getting ******ed. Because those fights were clinchy and I'd agree weren't exactly barn burners........but he was grinding out rounds.

Peter is going to knock Mcline out in less than 5 rounds. Even then, the same ****heads that are actually going to pick Mcline because they hate Peter won't really care if he does.

yea u right, he'll knock him out unless McCline has developed some skills we've never seen.

hating? Im telling it like I see it. who has peter been able to stop that makes it likely he'd be able to destroy gomez in 20 seconds. peter hasnt been able to stop any good or even semi durable fighters. gomez is a good fighter. he was coked out and clearly not in shape in his only loss. I just love how people play the hate card when they hear what dont want to hear. even his own handlers dont have a lot of confidence in him as there matching him with a guy like jameel "decline" who's lost his last 3 big fights

before the first fight I called that it could go either way. most people thought toney won the first fight. now did you see toney's perormance in the second fight and his subsequent fight after that??? if you watched with your eyes open and arent biased you'd see toney was clearly a shot fighter. grow up and quit playing the hate card. the majority of peter's detractors on here are just calling it as they see it and accurately in my opinion. get over it

Mcline is the mandatory for Peter's WBC interm belt. Of course he's going to fight him. What does that have to do with matchmaking?

And Yanqui Diaz ****ing starched Gomez, Peter would annihalate him.

I would destroy that fat Nigerian.

People can say what they want as they've been trying to discredit him for a while now. He is a solid heavyweight who is still one of the best in the division.

McCline magically became mandatory after Vitali pulled out of the tune-up fight with him. How does one become a mandatory for a title shot after losing a title fight to Valuev (of all people)?

Agreed, I can name a few other fighters right now that deserve a title shot more than McCline.

if mccline really did become a mandatory then the wbc is even more pathetic than I thought. my god,,,he's lost his last 3 big fights including zuri lawrence of all people. how on earth can he become a mandatory for that? wtf...I guess lasting till the 3rd round before blowing out a knee against valuev is considered impressive by them
