    there was any other ref!

This fight would have been stopped.

God bless Smoger who gave him a chance and let us see this great fight.

This is a great example why there should not be any premature stoppages.. Let the fighter decide when he had enough.

I agree, Smoger should be in all title fights.

You got some refs who are SOOO afraid of critism and are SOOO nervous in there that they jump the gun.

        Marquez-Vazquez II case and point

Smoger has been around and he's the best ref on the planet.

IMO half the refs would have stepped in when he was taking a beating on his feet, making it a premature stoppage

He was on his feet. He was taking punishment but was in ring center. If he was on the ropes it would of been a different story.

              Sounds like sour g****s again.

He got up almost immediately and only went down on his gloves which exhibits how gutsy the guy is by sustaining a barrage like that and weathering it. If Smoger would've stopped it right there it would've been a travesty.

yo man watch on slow motion Steve Smogger threw a punch at Taylor before he went down. White ref helping the white hope to win the tittle.

I think he would have lost on the scorecards, not by any kind of stoppage. Pavlik wasn't nearly hurt enough to warrant any kind of stoppage.
