    Taylor incompetent

Taylor just can't get it right. In alot of ways his skills are very above average. Part of his problem is he doesn't know how to follow through with a game plan. The way he fought Pavlik is the way he should have fout Ouma and Spinks. Those guys both should have been KO'd. He should have opened up and fought with agression and heart. Instead he fights this way with the dangerous opponent in Pavlik?????
I never have understood Jermain Taylor. I don't think Steward does either. He seems like a good guy and has obvious talent but he just comes up short. I expected more from him in his career. I can't believe he was able to deal with Hopkins.

As naturally gifted as Taylor is, sadly, his downfall is that he's not a very smart guy. He can be easily out-thought in the ring.

That's pretty much it right there. He doesn't really use strategy in the ring. He just..... fights.

Taylor's problem is that he doesn;t have Pat Burns in his corner. He used to listen to him and follow through. Right now he's completely tuning Manny out. Besides, he looked so much more confident with pat Burns next to him.

I think he gets outsmarted sometimes as well, he is still young and he will regroup and come back better than before, don't worry about him he will make it.

That seems to be his problem about not really following through on strategy. He had the faster hand speed and foot speed last night, but he let Pavlik back him into corners and his left hand was low all night. Which left him open to big rights from Pavlik. Especially those two that put him up against the ropes for Kelly to finish him off.

Taylor is only 29, he can redeem himself. There should be a rematch.

Maby he can do what the great Lennox Lewis did in the second Rahman fight. We will have to wait and see.

He may get a rematch but he will have to be so careful. He won't be able to win with one punch ala Lennox. No way. This is the worst thing he could do. If he can't get focused and keep his cool then he'll never win. He needs to use a jab and have controlled offense in spurts. He needs to learn how to set up and pour it on for the finish, when it is time to do so. He has never had this one down.
