It should taint his career. He dug himself deeper when he claimed to be "A Health Nut" yet you don't know what you're putting in your body?

No, many pro athletes have taken steriods. Plus look at Vargas he took them and still lost. Taking steroids doesn't make you some beast that is unbeatable. The only sport where I think Steroids makes a big difference is Football, where it's all about bigger, faster, stronger. In boxing there are many other intangibles that make a great fighter.

          Exactly.

Shane has precisely TWO 'great' wins in his career. Both against the same guy. And in ONE of those wins, we are 100% sure that he was on steroids. Which therefore casts doubts on the other one.

That is one of the reasons I was disturbed when Lampley called him a "sure-fire" Hall of Famer last night.

          Ummm, WHY??

If "Shame" is a sure-fire HoFer, what is PBF?

            BULL****!!

In general, you don't take steroids for the event, per se.... you take steroids for training. It allows you to train harder, faster, longer. And to recover better and faster.

And the direct benefit is the event.

Exactly, even if one takes 'roids and still loses a match or an event who's to blame then?

Heck, bodybuilding is rife with juice guzzlers and many of them still lose to someone better.

If they don't know what they're putting in their body; One has to question who their trainers and coaches are. Do they give a flying **** about the fighter? Or are they in it for the money and just do what they think necessary to win?

A boxer could have trained well, but if he doesn't have that heart, courage, and fortitude you need then the training don't mean ****. In boxing somebody always has a plan, but once your hit and hit good other factors come into play that no drug can overcome.
