Taylor Certainly Deserves Credit

Although Taylor lost a close fight, he was on the verge of winning in the 2nd but more than that, he showed that he worked hard for this fight. Jermaine regained the rationale for his nickname 'Bad Intentions'. He clearly worked on some problems that critics were stating about him; he threw a good amount of punches and fought back, he didn't stay on the ropes and moved it to the center of the ring often. He was there to be hit on occasion, but the thread isn't about that. He was winning the fight until getting stopped when he was briefly trapped in the corner by the more powerful man. Its happened to alot of fighters and he can bounce back and regain the championship.
Both deserve credit for a great fight, but this one is to Taylor for showing improvement and dedication to his craft.

Pavlik is my 2nd favourite fighter next to WLAD and after tonight he almost surpassed WLAD as my favourite fighter with his incredible courageous performance.

I will give mad props Taylor, he is a true warrior(unlike Mayweather) and he actually went toe to toe with my boy the BEAST PAVLIK.

What did occur was about as generic, written on a piece of paper, type of outcome as could have been expected in favor of Pavlik.

He dropped his ****ing hands and backed straight up (AGAIN) on a monster punching straight ahead 1-2 big man who only needed one other opportunity to do what he did to Taylor at any point in the remaining rounds. It could have happened in the 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th. At any point. One punch to setup the finish.

What is the point in getting in there with a guy THAT dangerous if you're going to give him repeated opportunity's to do exactly what he does and does best?

It's a complete and total giveaway.

Taylor stood with Pavlik. He was putting his chin out there like he could take Pavlik's punches. He took a few - but we wouldn't need Nostradamus to tell us that once Pavlik was able to land one of his big shots it would be all over.

The truth was Taylor was not able to survive doing what he chose to do.

It was all wrong.

I have to agree with you Addison. I was ready to come on here and say that I take my hat off to Taylor for such a good performance up until about rd.4. Then Taylor does what he does best and lost all concentration, and stopped his work rate altogether. So glad that he was knocked out because he has never been a worthy champion in my eyes.

I want him to take this loss as a wake up call and make a comeback as a better fighter. It must feel like **** being a title holder and still have everyone hate you, then have it taken away from you without truly being recognised while you did have it. Kinda feel sorry for him.

I agree, he should've had his hands up more since he was taking too many shots, and I stated that...but people were considering Taylor to be like he was in his recent fights, lethargic and pushed back constantly without throwing anything; he threw the first punch in this fight and went after Pavlik often. When pushed backwards, he fought back and turned the tide. He got caught hard in the 7th round but he made some vast changes compared to his fight with Spinks.

i agree. there was nothing wrong with how taylor performed an i believe he will bounce back.
