Straight hard punches always get through the gloves. Always. Taylor won 5 rounds doing it, and Pavlik will do the same except he hits a lot harder.

Yeah, I think Pavlik would be the end of Winky.

Wright by UD. I dont care how hard you hit, you are not knocking out Winky Wright, and Winky can match Pavliks output at 160.

Pavliks jab jab right hand is like a pendulum too. Winky would be able to anticipate every punch and block and parry them.

I don't think it would be a good idea for Winky to allow a guy as big and strong as Pavlik to pound on the guard (and through it). Especially with the collective damage Wright has already taken. Winky has slowed down.

Although, I'm not so sure it would be a cake walk for Pavlik either.

Either way I wouldn't suggest Winky do it.

Agreed. Winky has slowed down. Pavlik not a good match for him.

I agree with you Addison, it wouldn't be a good idea for Winky to take the fight. Hes at the end of his career, and he doesn't need that kind of punishment, but he would still win the fight by a relatively wide margin.

Pavlik wouldn't be able to find a home for his jab, and without that, He cant find with his right hand.

Don't get me wrong, I love Pavlik, but Winky is an ATG level boxer.

Pavlik might be able to win a decision, but he would not be able to score a knockout versus Winky.

If Winky can stand in the pocket with his gloves covering his face, and not get knocked out by Pavlik, I'd be absolutely shocked.
