    Taking the punishment... Pavlik/Taylor

i went back and watched ouma/taylor tonight and i have to say i was amazed at how many clean shots taylor landed and just couldnt get rid of kassim ouma. not to take anything away from ouma, but at the very least pavlik can take as much punishment and almost certainly more than kassim as obviously his chin is above average and his physical size is far superior.

contrast that with the amount of punishment edison miranda took on before being put away... not to mention zuniga and zertuche..

zertuche, though not a great fighter by any stretch, has one of the best chins in the business. if you look at the initial knockdown in that fight, there is no way jermain taylor would have gotten up from that right hand. zertuche was out on his feet and saved by the bell but what im getting at here us....

pavlik will not have to hit taylor as much or as often as he hit miranda, zertuche, zuniga to beat him down and knock him out... i think that is a fact that is being overlooked... You can try and talk down about names like McKart, zertuche, miranda and Zuniga but if you know boxing you know that it is a telling sign about a fighter to say he has stopped men that have never been stopped before... in fact none have been stopped since fighting pavlik and they may all retire haveing said "kelly pavlik was the only man to knock me out"

as for people predicting a taylor UD, i would say that Taylor needs a KO more than Kelly does... Kelly is going to throw more pucnhes and set the pace and he is gonna win at least 6 rounds if it goes the distance.

Who can take it better, i say pavlik, 8th or 9th round

    taylor fires steward shortly thereafter

steward courts pavlik and whispers sweet nothings in his ear

pavlik says **** off and sticks with the driveway guy

taylor declines to fight pavlik at 168 and insteads signs a 10 rounder against willie gibbs.

in all honesty this is a great fight and jermain could just as easily win, but either way i think that after 2 rounds everyone will know who is gonna win the fight either way.

I agree 100 % with this prediction. If you listen to Pavlik interviews - he basically says the same thing. I hope your right saturday night. I predict Pavlik to knock out Taylor.

i knew he was gonna knock him out that was easy to see, but the part of my prediction that is beautiful is when the stewad firing scenario plays out

Great prediction. Aside from the knockdown in the 2nd, fight went exactly as it did earlier in my head. I figured Taylor would be improved and he would sweep the first couple rounds. Good job.

Hitman932 is a horrible poster here, and a ****ing racist. He thought I was black and said he'd slit my N%#ger throat. This kid is a *****, and I would ****ing knock his ***** ass out in real life. I'm not black but my gf is and I don't take kindly to *******s like that. Plus, this idiot gives no credit to Taylor what so ever, even though Taylor almost ko'd Pavlik aswell. Hitman acts like Pavlik easily beat Taylor. This kid is such a racist ****.

Yeah people were overlooking the fact that Zertuche had never been hurt at all as a pro, and Pavik knocked him unconcious with a single right hand. Instead people just go to Boxrec and see the guys record and automatically assume he's a bum.
